Account deletion

Delete your Backyard Golf account

Permanent account deletion is available in the mobile app.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Backyard Golf and go to Profile.
  2. Find the Account actions section.
  3. Select Delete account forever.
  4. Read the confirmation, then select Delete Forever.
  5. If you signed in with Apple, confirm with Apple when asked. This lets us revoke Backyard Golf's access to your Apple ID.

What happens next

After a successful deletion response, the app clears its local account state, signs you out, and returns you to the welcome screen. If the request cannot be completed, the app shows a deletion error and keeps you signed in so you can try again or get help.

What the account deletion removes

Deleting your account removes, in this order: your coaching history (swing measurements, coaching profile, lessons and assigned drills) and the coach's pose videos and keyframe images; your uploaded swing videos; your Backyard Golf profile, shots, bag, stats, friends, parties and paired screens; and finally your sign-in account. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke Backyard Golf's access to your Apple ID. If any step fails, nothing after it runs and you stay signed in so you can try again.

Some provider-held records have provider-defined retention or no source-observed deletion path. Review the category-specific details in the data inventory. Cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play to stop future billing; deleting the app account does not cancel a store subscription.

Need help?

If you cannot sign in or cannot use the in-app flow, email contact@playbackyardgolf.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify that you control the account before we act on a request.

Do not send us your password, authentication code, recovery code, or payment credentials. Backyard Golf support will never ask for them to process an account-deletion request.
