Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Backyard Golf — the marketing site at playbackyardgolf.com and the Backyard Golf mobile app (together, the "Service," and "Backyard Golf," "we," "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, don't use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Subscriptions and billing
Some features require an active "Tour Card" subscription, sold as monthly or annual plans. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time through your platform account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
Pricing may change. We will give you reasonable notice in-app or by email before a price change takes effect on a subscription you already have.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to: violate any law; harass, threaten, or impersonate other users; reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the Service beyond normal use; upload content that infringes someone else's rights; or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or other users' accounts. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Your content
You keep ownership of swing videos, profile content, and any other material you submit. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service for you (for example, rendering your swing in coach review or syncing it across your devices). We don't claim ownership and we don't license it to third parties for marketing without your permission.
Hardware and third-party services
The Service is designed to work with the Garmin Approach® R10 launch monitor. Garmin® and Approach® are trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries. Backyard Golf is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Garmin. We do not warrant the accuracy of measurements produced by your launch monitor or any other third-party hardware, and we are not responsible for third-party services we integrate with (Supabase, Cloudflare, LiveKit, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Garmin, Formspree, etc.).
Service changes
The Service is under active development. Features may change or be removed. We try to give notice of material changes when we can.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. Practice golf at your own risk — check your space, your swing path, and what's behind any net or screen before you swing a club.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backyard Golf and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or US$100, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Backyard Golf harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of someone else's rights.
Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms or as otherwise reasonable.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and, when reasonable, notify active users in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
