Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Backyard Golf handles the information in our source-reviewed data inventory. The inventory currently covers 12 categories of information used by the Backyard Golf website and mobile app.

Information and purposes

The documented purposes are account management, personalization, social, authentication, security, gameplay, coaching, analytics, product improvement, device linking, diagnostics, customer support, purchases, communications, moderation, marketing.

• Account identity and profile: email, username, names, date of birth, avatar URL, handicap, preferences, onboarding and membership flags
• Supabase authentication credentials and access/refresh session tokens
• Gameplay and shot/session telemetry: launch measurements, simulated results, scores, course/session context, and AI analysis payloads
• Garmin R10 and watch-linked device data: device identifiers, app/build versions, connection state, launch-monitor measurements, and hashed enrollment credentials
• User-uploaded swing videos and sidecar shot context used for coaching analysis
• Purchase and entitlement status: RevenueCat customer identity, tour-card entitlement state, purchase timestamps, and subscription membership flags
• Expo push notification token and notification preference flags
• Party, presence, and live voice/video metadata: room/session IDs, membership, participant identity, camera/microphone publication state, and short-lived connection tokens
• Application diagnostics and crash/error reports, including normalized error details and selected request metadata
• Product analytics events and screen views, including authenticated PostHog identify/capture properties and gameplay event payloads
• User and party moderation reports: reason, notes, reporter/reported IDs, party context, and optional voice-snippet identifier
• Marketing waitlist submission: name and email address

These providers process information for the purposes described in the inventory. The inventory's tracking designation is shown for every category in the data inventory.

Retention and deletion

Retention depends on the category. Some information is retained until account deletion, sign-out, device revocation, token replacement, or notification opt-out. Other categories have provider-defined or source-uncertain retention; 12 of the current categories have a retention qualification in the inventory. We do not state a universal retention period where the source review does not establish one.

You can delete your account in the app. Our account-deletion instructions explain the in-app flow and its immediate result. The full, category-by-category retention and deletion paths are in our data inventory.

International processing

Backyard Golf uses the processors listed above. The source review does not specify every processor's processing location or transfer safeguards, so please contact us for the current information that applies to your request.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access or correct your information, ask questions about how it is handled, or request account deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. To make a request, use the in-app deletion flow when available or contact us at contact@playbackyardgolf.com.
